NX-Writer Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 4, 2026

At The Netherwatch ("we," "us," or "our"), we believe your words and your worlds belong entirely to you. We built NX-Writer with a privacy-first, local-only architecture.

This policy is intentionally simple: We do not collect, read, store, or share your work or personal data.

1. Your Data Stays on Your Device

NX-Writer operates entirely offline by default. All the data you generate—manuscripts, scripts, world-building notes, tags, and settings—is saved entirely on your local hard drive or the local storage directories you specify. We do not sync your data to our servers, nor do we have access to it.

2. No Telemetry or User Tracking

We do not track how you use the application. There are no built-in analytics, keystroke loggers, or telemetry scripts running in the background. Your writing habits and application usage are completely your own business.

4. No Accounts Required

NX-Writer does not require you to create a user account, sign in, or provide an email address to use the software. Once you purchase or download the app, it is yours to use anonymously.

5. Third-Party Links

Our application may contain links to our website, documentation, or support channels. If you click a link and leave the offline application, please note that those external websites may have their own privacy policies.

6. Updates to this Policy

Because we don't collect data, it is highly unlikely this policy will change significantly. However, if we ever introduce internet-dependent features in the future (such as optional cloud backups), we will distinctly update this policy and inform you beforehand. Any future cloud features will always be strictly opt-in.
